POWER YOUR WAY THROUGH THE SKIES
Ever since the dawn of man, we have looked up at the birds and coveted their ability to soar through the air with seemingly effortless grace. And with human beings being as determined as we are, we have found many ways and built many contraptions to mimic them and almost achieve this goal. One of the the most successful ways we have found to achieve this is through paragliding. With finely crafted personal wings and only the wind and sky for company, paragliding is definitely the closest thing we can experience to what was once reserved only for animals of flight. As a paraglider launches him/herself off a mountain or hill and gently glide along the sky he/she truly feels the freedom and majesty of flight, and up until now it has been a fairly passive journey down to the ground.
As always though, there are conditions that a paraglider needs in order to partake in this thrilling sport. A paraglider needs a mountain or hill from which to launch him/herself and also needs to have something called a lift (rising air) in order to be able to stay aloft in the air and soar for a longer time before descending. A lift can be provided by thermals – warm air rising or ridge lift, which is wind deflected upwards by the slopes of mountains. Clearly this puts some limitations on when and where one can paraglide.
As I said earlier we, as human beings have never been fond of limitations and so we have again found a way to eradicate them. We have managed to do this through the innovation of paramotors. Thus allow us to introduce Powered Paragliding. Unlike unpowered paragliding, this new form of the sport is more versatile and is less limited through the following features:
FEATURES OF POWERED PARAGLIDING:
1. FLIGHT IS POSSIBLE FROM ANYWHERE – With a powerful motor to gain height you can take off right from level ground.
2. NO NEED FOR THERMALS OR RIDGE LIFT – The paramotor maintains your height so that you don’t need to rely on thermals or ridge-lift to delay your descent.
3. GO FURTHER. – With the power of a paramotor the pilot can travel vast distances and simply switch off the engine when he/she desires to glide down and land.
4. REQUIRES MINIMAL TRAINING – By aviation standards it is one of the most accessible licenses.
5. COST EFFECTIVE – When it comes to cost of training, equipment, licensing and running costs, no other form of powered aviation is as affordable as powered paragliding.
As well as having all these features, our personal favorite part of powered paragliding is that one can now feel that they can power through the skies, rather than just gliding at the mercy of nature. It brings back our sense of control and safety and that, if nothing else, is what makes powered paragliding invaluable to us. So why not do what you love most and take to the skies, but with more conviction, more power and more control. With our varied array of paragliding products we can find just the right tools for you to finally fly free like the birds our ancestors so wished to be.
