For 2011, all Flat Top Paramotors are now built with heat treated aluminum cage pieces as well as frames. The heat treating process makes the flat top cage peice components much stronger and safer for all pilots.
By heat treating the aluminum, it will now crush better and crush more in a hard crash without cracking. The frame and cage pieces will also be stiffer and stronger. We have also made changes in tubing diameter on the frame down tube from .065 wall to .083. This thicker wall will stiffen the frame even more and allow it to crush a ton more before it cracks. This will dramatically increase the crumple zone. The back cross tube on flat top paramotors behind the gas tank went from .035 to .049 tube wall. This should help prevent the frame from bending as easily in light wacks but still function correctly in a hard crash or bash. If you pounded in on the skid really hard the .035 wall we used to use on older flat top cages would start to crack a bit earlier than we wanted so now it is even stronger. We build paramotors to keep pilots safer. How many other paramotor manufacturers do you know of that continually improve their paramotors year after year?
